Controversy

Andrew Mcmanus Presents forced into liquidation. Reason for liquidation: excessive drawings. Contributory factors: Failure to provide for taxation, gambling, speculation and extravagance of living [1]. The Australian promoter behind the Raggamuffin music festival continues to trade despite his New Zealand company having gone into liquidation in March with debts estimated at almost NZ$400,000. [2] At the same time his New Zealand operation was sinking, his Australian company Andrew McManus Presents (International) Pty Ltd was also in trouble. The company entered administration (as Miz Pty Ltd, the name to which it was changed the day before liquidation proceedings began) on August 25. It owes more than A$4.2 million, including $1.2 million to the Australian Taxation Office. [3]
